Qian Xi Restaurant (N°11) au 19 rue des Halles
à mi chemin entre Showroom Paris N°1 et N°9
Qian Xi est une célèbre Restaurant Chineese qui a ouvert une annexe à Paris.

Dans les années 1980s s'y trouvaient "Les Bouchons"
Vous auriez pu croiser Sao Schlumberger (1929 - 2007)
avec son fidèle ami Andre Dunstetter
et l'artiste Andy Warhol (1928 - 1987).
The facade a été réalise par le suplteur Charles Gauthier (1831 - 1891)
et l'architecte Jean Philippe Lobrot (1845 - 1907)
sous le regard de l'Imperatrice Eugénie (1826 - 1920)

Maison Rouge (N°7 / N°8)

Maison Rouge est une Brasserie traditionelle
lié à l'histoire d' Henri IV,
le premier Roi Bourbon.

Dans les années 1960 Coco Chanel souffrait d'insomnie.
Elle avait pris l'habitude d'aller à la Maison Rouge
pour observer la magie du marché des Halles ouvert pendant la nuit.
Parfois elle était accompagnée par son amie Aimée de Heeren
une des plus belles femmes du monde.

2016 vril 7 reouverture de la Maison Rouge
grace à l'énérgie de Flore Prat.

Gladines (N°3)


Restaurant Gladines (N°3) en facde du Showroom Paris N°1
Gladines est un Restaurant Basque qui pratique des prix raisonables
et qui attire beaucou de jeunes.
L'equiip du restaurant est très glamour.


On dit de ce restaurant qu'il est à l'origine
d'une multitude d'histoires d'amour.

Une a copmmence en fevrier 1939
entre Aimee de Heeren,
un agent secret Brésilien devenu une resistante anti Nazi
et Joe Kennedy Jr,
fils de l'ambassadeur Américain à Londres.

Aimée navait besoin du jeun Kennedy
pour approcher le Président Roosevelt.
While the young Kennedy came to visit her in Paris
she showed him Cremerie de Paris
and the opposit restaurant N°3
that was was a fruit store at the time.
Aimee knew the place from Coco Chanel.


Aimée de Heeren and Joe Kennedy Jr are remembered
in historic insriptions on the facade of 11 rue des Halles .


Many other Love Stories started at the place,
in particular since march 2013
when André Rousseau
opened the Restaurant Gladines.

The picture shows the restaurant entrance

who came 85 years earlier.
When the young Kennedys are in Paris they love to come by.

The 33 m long facade of the Restaurant
can be decorated in the look of a brand
who wants it's showroom to be very visible.
Together with the 16 m facade of Showroom Paris N°1
this makes a 49 m facade facing the main Paris metro exit

Bistrot des Halles (N°4)


Bistro des Halles is a very reputated traditional restaurant
from the times of the Halles Centrales foodmarket.
If you want to meet people that live in the area
it's the place to go.




Even though the restaurant is very French
it is part of the history of Coca Cola
as one of the very first places in Europe where it was possible
to get Coca Cola drinks back in 1918.

Nobody remembered the story.
It reappeared february 2023,
when Coca Cola and the Spanish singer Rosalia
came to Showroom Paris N°1
to present a new edition of Coca Cola.

The market and rue des Halles were constructed
under the reign of Napoléon III (1808 - 1873)



Empress Eugenie (1826 - 1920)
was the creative mind of rue des Halles,
where are located Showroom Paris
and the Restaurants mentionned in this.

Eugenie influenced architects like Victor Baltard (1805 - 1874)
or Jacque Philippe Lobrot (1845 - 1907)
to make the area so beautiful .

Today the former Empress of the French
would love to see how beautiful and glamorous
her beloved rue des Halles has become again
after having been neglected for a while
after the departure
of the Les Halles Foodmarket.


Old Empress Eugénie (1826 - 1920) loved children,

In some way Eugenie contributed to it's return.
After leaving France in 1870 / fall of the Second Empire
Eugenie lived in the UK.
She told the stories about rue des Halles to children.
Growing up the children kept repeating the fairytales
to new children,
this is how they came to the ears of Gabrielle Chanel
and half a century later, the editor of this website.
